Interview with Diana

JM: How many different blocks were there?
Diana: There were at least 5 different jail blocks.

JM: Did they have names? If so, what were they?
Diana: There were no names for the jail blocks only the housing units which they referred to as pods.

JM: Which types of inmates were housed in the different blocks?
Diana: At the time I was incarcerated they only had one female pod, but they later expanded to two, however, the men's pods were based upon the offenses committed and were more regulated.

JM: What do you remember being the nicest and worst parts about the different blocks?
Diana: The "nicest" part of the different blocks were the trustee block in which the low level crime inmates were housed. There seemed to be fewer incidents of violence within them. The worst part was being within the female pod where there was little to no regulation and everyone was essentially together in the same unit regardless of their offense/
