Inmates

Interview with Raymond

JM: Did you find it difficult to get along with other inmates? Please give examples to explain why you did or didn't.
Raymond: i was blessed that i was in with alot of people with minor time and they wanted to get out as bad as me. so we joked around alot and made it work

JM: What types of things did you have to do to avoid problems or fights with other inmates?
Raymond: it was obvious things. like not pissing anyone off. not calling anyone out. no insulting. cleaning the toliet after each use. being pleasent. joking with others or not being stuck up to say. staying clean as in taking showers and sharing if i had something extra like stamps or food.

JM: Were you able to choose an inmate as your cellmate if you knew one? How often would your cellmate(s) change?
Raymond: i was not. i stayed in a block and was told when i went in to pick a empty cott. only when someone was released or went to iso did it change.
