JM: Tell us about the pre-sentencing process: Zach: Before sentencing I was detained in block Charlie d for 4
months then transferred to alpha a block for one month I had
few altercations with staff the units are pretty crowded they
basically have a 23 and 1 system you are in your cell block 23
hr and 1 hr rec time daily E: i was on bail during sentencing. The process can
take 6 monthes in that county.
JM: Did you have police stop by your house for questioning? If not please give us details on how you came to be arrested. Zach: I was under investigation for selling drugs they approached me
in my car undercover detectives took me into custody they
walked me back to the last house I had just walked out of they
conducted a search of the house as well as my car I was later
taken to the Scranton police department E: they called and requested I stop by the station.
So of course I ran, catch me if you can f*ckers-and
they did!
JM: What was court like? Please give as many details as you recall. Zach: Court was in the Lackawanna county courthouse I was
transported is a sheriffs van on my court dates with other
inmates about 5 or 6 in a van then when we were in the
courthouse they split us up into a few cells where we were
observed by county sheriff officers E: hearings are very quick.1-2 minutes.
JM: What were your original charges? What did you end up being convicted of? Zach: Criminal conspiracy to deliver a control substance and
possession with intent to deliver E: theft by unlawful taking/ rec. stolen prop.(dropped
the latter)
