Inmates

Interview with Blake

JM: Did you find it difficult to get along with other inmates? Please give examples to explain why you did or didn't.
Blake: most inmates just want to do there time and go home.others though just have extremely bad attitudes and go looking for trouble.i tried to avoid those types of people but your in such close quarters with them eventually you will run into them.and they will try to pick fights with you.but luckily i could usually talk my way out of it.

JM: What types of things did you have to do to avoid problems or fights with other inmates?
Blake: basically ignore them.and if that cant be done the number one rule is to treat them with respect no matter what.that goes a long way.a big no no is telling on someone though.never ever tell an authority figure that another inmate is giving you a hard time.you will get hurt.

JM: Were you able to choose an inmate as your cellmate if you knew one? How often would your cellmate(s) change?
Blake: yes you could choose sometimes.it just depends what type of mood the c/o is in on that day.but thats like a one time thing.they wont let you move constantly like that.
