JM: Did you have regular access to telephones?
Charles: Tuesday and Thursday.
Rich: yes we had 2 15 minute phone times a day
Kevin: Yes, in the Trustee Dorm you do.
Molly: No, daily scheduled times for each cell.
Jeremy: Yes
Chad: you had a certain time twice a day for phone calls. It was a different time every day, for 15 minutes
Laura: only when i was let outside my cell

JM: What types of charges applied for calling people? How much money would you guess the average inmate spends per week on phone calls?
Charles: $1.60/minute
Rich: we could only call collect
Kevin: I could not call unless it was a Southern Belle phone or unless they had an account with Paytell, which the main person who I called set up one and would pay online with a debit card. You can go to www.paytell.com to set up an account and it gives you the specific charges per call, etc. There are also other calling plans that can be used and officers will usually be helpful to the family and friends of the inmate in finding this information out.
Molly: collect calls or calling cards
Jeremy: If the conversation was the alloted 15 minutes the bill ran nearly 10 dollars a call
Chad: The person being called must have an account set up or a prepayed plan before you can call anyone
Laura: It doesn't take long to use up one phone card. i woukd day $50-$60 a week
