Interview with castly and Sarah

JM: How many different blocks were there?
castly: I can not answer this question as I was confined to a small area within the facility. I never walked around the facility and never enquired as tothe size and placement of the entire buildings structure. There were no converstaions regarding the overall size and number of cell blocks. There were no diagram layouts of the facility. The guards also seemed to keep to themselves as to the actual size of the facility.
Sarah: back then the women were in only one cell block that would be cell block b

JM: Did they have names? If so, what were they?
castly: I do not know the names as I never asked for the names. From my understanding of the place. Each seperate holding area was numbered. There may have been names, but I never heard anyone call anything with a given building or cell block name.
Sarah: we were in cell block b

JM: Which types of inmates were housed in the different blocks?
castly: I think they were assigned to different cell blocks relating to the crimes they did and to the severity of the crimes they did. In my case, I was in there on a non violent type crime charge and therefore was involved with other non violent offenders. Each given facility or cell block is assigned a code factor which gives details of types of convicts placed there depending on the type of crime they did. I am not an employee so I did not who was placed where. Only that they were there.
Sarah: well i know that before the women were put in block b that used to be the block that they had the REAL bad guysd in like murders it was the maximum security block but it was just all the weomen in that cell then no matter what you did if you are a female thats where you went

JM: What do you remember being the nicest and worst parts about the different blocks?
castly: I cannot answer this question as I was not told and did not discuss the various god, the bad, and the ugly of the facility. Everything was kept quite about different places and cell blocks. They did not want rumors spread around about any of the prison.
Sarah: there is absolutly no nice things about upshur county jail!!!!!!!!! the worst is just thje fact that you are there
