Meals

Interview with Ryan and Kyle

JM: How many meals did you get per day?
Ryan: 3

JM: How would you rate the food? Please give details of why.
Ryan: It's nothing you can eat. It's garbage. The minut you eat it you get hungry again.
Kyle: Thin. I would describe the food as thin, because everything that was supposed to be thick and hearty seemed to be watered down. For instance, a mix of what I believe was Spanish rice and beans...well, lets just say that if you'd had a fork as opposed to the Spork you are issued with your meal, eighty to ninety percent of the food would have ran between the fork's tines before you could bring it to your mouth. I also noticed that beans seemed to come with almost every meal. The taste however, was not bad. I'd rate it as a step below or even to what you'd get a chain buffet restaurant like Old Country Buffet.

JM: Did you have any favorite/least favorite meals?
Ryan: I guess the pancakes and biscits and gravy was alright. The worst was the fish.

JM: Were there any other snacks offered outside of meals? What was commissary like and how expensive was it?
Ryan: They had commissary two times a week if you had money on the books.
