Interview with Nelson
JM: Did you find it difficult to get along with other inmates? Please give examples to explain why you did or didn't.
Nelson: The second day I was there, I actually got into
a fight with another inmate. It didn't escalate
because a guard was there right away to stop it.
JM: What types of things did you have to do to avoid problems or fights with other inmates?
Nelson: As long as you keep to yourself its not really
an issue.
JM: Were you able to choose an inmate as your cellmate if you knew one? How often would your cellmate(s) change?
Nelson: I didn't have a cellmate. They didn't really
have many people in my block.
