Interview with nelson and Amy

JM: How many different blocks were there?
nelson: they referred to blocks as pods, its a large underground facility that houses 500 inmates. I would say 4-6 different sections with numerous pods within.
Amy: Not sure we had one woman pod two levels about 70 beds and the most woman that were there at one time was about 50 still that was rather full for F-pod

JM: Did they have names? If so, what were they?
nelson: we were referred by our last names.
Amy: F pod- c-Pod special housing-b Pod- a pod- and restricted pop

JM: Which types of inmates were housed in the different blocks?
nelson: dangerous=red crazy=orange/special housing, blue=general population, yellow=sex offender.
Amy: Men in all other pods and the most violent ones in Special Housing with the rapist and child molesters. Medical people wear orange and the high security wear red. and yellow is for snitches.

JM: What do you remember being the nicest and worst parts about the different blocks?
nelson: I was in just one block, multi-floored. the guys in the arian brotherhood were nice enough if I adhered to there politics.
Amy: We didn't get to see the others but Imagine ours smelt the best. That's what the deputies said. I know we got out a lot more because we had the least amount of people to watch. The male pods also got to go to work in the kitchen where as the female pod was sent only to do the laundry .
