Interview with Regina
JM: How long was your sentencing for?
Regina: No time served (part of plea deal), 18 months
probation. I was released an hour after court
from jail.
JM: Did you spend time in a holding cell after your sentencing? If so, what was that like? If you didn't where did they they take you instead?
Regina: Yes. When I first got there the rumor was you
have to be in the holding cell for at least 17
hours, and that is how long I spent. It was
like hell. It was a cold room with a window
that was covered. It was traumatic. I couldn't
stop crying. This was my first time in jail.
