Interview with John, Scott, Aaron, Bruce and Sammy

JM: How many meals did you get per day?
John: We got three meals per day.
Scott: WE GOT THREE MEALS PER DAY.
Aaron: we got 3 meals a day
Bruce: We got Three sqare meals per day
Sammy: we got about three meals per day

JM: How would you rate the food? Please give details of why.
John: I would este the food Probably a 5 becayse it was consumable food it just wasnt the best of meats or maybe it was bland flavored or sloppy,maybe even it was just the same food but just in different variations like a boiled patatoe,then mashed piotatoe and then french fries.
Scott: I WOULD RATE THE FOOD A FOUR. IT WAS BARELY EDABLE,THE VARIETY WAS VERY PLAIN AND A BIG MAJORITY OF THE MEALS WERE BLAND. THE PORTIONS WERE SMALL AND NEVER FILLING. IF YOU DONT EAT CERTAIN FOODS ITS GONNA BE HARD FOR YOU TO SURVIVE IN THERE. HUNGER IS ALWAYS AROUND.
Aaron: the food wasn't the greatest there it was either a hit or miss it was either really good or it was terrible. the food was all fake they didn't have real meat there at all and the potatoes tasted old and so didn't the vegetables. they should make the meals fresh.
Bruce: The food I would rate to be a 5 because that is In The,middle if good And bad. The,meat alot if times was fake. They Always seemed to give us nasty side dishes,like coleslaw,potatoes,Beans. They gave us a,Small cold sándwich every Day on The weekends. The food often had ni flavor.
Sammy: I would rape the food a 5 it was nasty and had no flavor. most of the meat was your grade B, they fed us a lot of Starchey foods that make us fat. the selection was very poor we have the same variety every week. it was barely edible

JM: Did you have any favorite/least favorite meals?
John: My favorite meals were got dog day. I hated the oatmeal they gave us every monday wednesday and friday it was like gruel.
Scott: I HATED THE PASTA MEALS,THE VEAL MEALS,I HATED THE LIVER MEALS AND ALL THE BIG BOILED POTATOES. I HATED THE COLD SANDWICHES ON THE WEEKEND.
Aaron: my favorite meal was what they called horse ham it was the best because it tasted the freshest It was small though. my least favorite was the coldslaw tasted like someone shit in a cup and put mayo on it.
Bruce: My worst meal ever was The nasty sloppy gruely outmeal they served us for breakfast every Monday Wednesday and Friday. My favorite meals were the rice,meat and beans together combo.
Sammy: my favorite was the breakfast pancake meal. I also like the French toast breakfast meal too. I hated the breakfast oatmeal liver for dinner.

JM: Were there any other snacks offered outside of meals? What was commissary like and how expensive was it?
John: They never offerd us any other extra snacks. Just the three meals. And the food you could buy of the commisary was just kinda exspensive for no reason. Like regular ramen noodle bagged soups for 95 cents.
Scott: NO IF WE DIDNT EAT WHAT THEY GAVE US THAT WAS BASICALLY IT UNTIL THE NEXT DAY. COMISSARY WAS VERY EXSPENSIVE. THEY MAKE IT HARD TO SURVIVE IN JAIL ON THOSE FOOD PRICES. YOU GOTTA RATION YOUR MONEY.
Aaron: no there was not we had to buy them off of cantine and cantine was really expensive you were stuck spending like 30 dollars just to get snacks off of cantine it was so outrageous.
Bruce: No all we got was the Three squar e meals from the jail. If you wanted anything more you had,to buy it off commissary and those prices were very expensive for just,little amounts of food.
Sammy: outside of meals there was no other snacks that were offered. we either have to buy all the commissary or starve. the food that was for sale on, commissary was so expensive and not worth it.
