Interview with Danny
JM: What clothes could you have brought in to wear in the jail (underwear, socks, etc.)?
Danny: You can bring white T-shirts, White underwear or
boxers, and white socks in to the jail with you.
JM: If you had a set uniform, what did it look like? Please be specific about each piece of clothing issued to you.
Danny: The uniform at the Newaygo County Jail is your
basic "orange" outfit. It consisted of orange
pants and an orange pocketed shirt. I would
compare them to "scrubs" that a nurse or CNA would
wear in a medical environment.
JM: Were there any assigned clothes in high demand that an inmate should look for when getting clothing assigned?
Danny: Everyone in the jail wore the exact same clothes.
There werent any clothes that were in high demand.
JM: Was the clothing different between men and women?
Danny: I never saw a woman during my stay, so I couldn't
answer this question with any kind of certainty.
