Interview with Richard and Donna

JM: What clothes could you have brought in to wear in the jail (underwear, socks, etc.)?
Richard: Orange jumpsuits. Black slippers and white socks.
Donna: You are not allowed to wear any of our own clothes. You are given jail issued t-shirts, socks, undies, sweatshirt and jumpsuit to wear.

JM: If you had a set uniform, what did it look like? Please be specific about each piece of clothing issued to you.
Richard: Yes, see above.
Donna: The women wore a blue jumpsuit unless you were pregnant then you got blue scrubs to wear. The men wore orange jumpsuits. We also got a grey sweatshirt. The women got night gowns to wear at night.

JM: Were there any assigned clothes in high demand that an inmate should look for when getting clothing assigned?
Richard: No, except you can never have enough underwear.
Donna: When new socks and undies would come in we always wanted them of course..

JM: Was the clothing different between men and women?
Richard: I never saw the women.
Donna: Just the colors were different.
