Visitor Policy

Interview with Brittany and Jordan

JM: How often could you receive visitors?
Brittany: Two visits a week, 45 minutes each time. Up to 4 people each visit. Visit days depend on where you are housed. They are usually every hour except dinner.
Jordan: For me it was once a week for about 30 minutes with the family and close relatives

JM: Was the check-in process lengthy for those who came to see you?
Brittany: As long as you have ID, no warrants and are appropriately dressed it is not difficult to get in for visitation.
Jordan: It was a screening process, they had to go thru metal detector and also be patted down and verified out and make sure all was ok

JM: What was the visiting environment like?
Brittany: In the main jail, you go upstairs down long hallways into separate rooms with glass and telephone. On the honor farm, visits are contact, in a big room with tables. You can have a quick hug and kiss, and that's it as far as contact goes.
Jordan: pretty fine, clean, talking to people while there was gaurds monitoring and it was a visitor area. They had tables and chairs and places for the visitors to sit and be comfortabble....my visitors said that were treated pretty well and not complaints about it and it was orderly and decent
