Good Behavior

Interview with Gordy, Jeff and Philip

JM: Did you get off early based on good behavior?
Gordy: It depends on the type of case that you have and the facility that you are located at
Jeff: I did not get any time off for good behavior at Sarasota County Jail
Philip: I was aloted gain time for participating in educational studies and nor getting into trouble

JM: What is the most time off you can receive for good behavior?
Gordy: To the best of my knowledge it is 3 for 1 so if you have a 90 day sentence more than likely you will do like a month.
Jeff: Since my case didn't qualify I'm not really sure of how the good time works
Philip: 5 days per month for gain time and school

JM: What types of actions do you need to avoid in order to get time off? Did you ever witness somebody losing time off for good behavior?
Gordy: Contraband, fights, disobeying orders, sexual activities, stealing, murders, make sure your not out of place.
Jeff: You can get time off for going to school GED classes and yes I did witness a physical altercation where an inmate was removed from the recovery pod and is good time was removed
Philip: I personally cannot recall seeing someone lose their time off. Participate in GED studies as well as not upset the gaurds and you can be eligible for up to 5 days for each month
