Interview with Gordy, Jeff and Philip

JM: Did you have regular access to telephones?
Gordy: NO
Jeff: Yes there were approximately 6 payphones in the recovery Potter
Philip: The telephones rarely worked but there were telephones present

JM: What types of charges applied for calling people? How much money would you guess the average inmate spends per week on phone calls?
Gordy: There expensive there a rip off they are getting rich of these calls
Jeff: I believe the charges were approximately a dollar fifty for 15 minutesi believe calling cards bought online outside of the jail work
Philip: To the best of my recollection calls were over a dollar a piece for roughly 20 minutes. I would say likely upwards of 30 a week if someone wanted to speak a few times daily.

JM: Did you need to buy phone cards to call out?
Gordy: you can or call collect
Jeff: You needed to either buy prepaid calling cards or have somebody from the outside put money on the account
Philip: Yes, but additionally the recipient of the calls needs to register to receive calls

JM: Did the jail screen your calls?
Gordy: They can monitor your calls if they want
Jeff: To my knowledge of jail facilities monitor calls
Philip: To my knowledge all calls and mail were monitored
