Interview with Chandra
JM: Did you get off early based on good behavior?
Chandra: At Sumpter County you don't get "gain time"
unless you are a trustee. Once you've been
sentenced, you can put in a request to become a
trustee. Trustees can do laundry, deliver
meals, etc. There is a trustee pod. They wear
blue outfits instead of the striped. They have
better commissary, microwavei ntheir dorm.
JM: What is the most time off you can receive for good behavior?
Chandra: 5 days a month taken off your sentence for
helping.
JM: What types of actions do you need to avoid in order to get time off? Did you ever witness somebody losing time off for good behavior?
