Interview with Chandra
JM: How many meals did you get per day?
Chandra: Three.
JM: How would you rate the food? Please give details of why.
Chandra: Horrible. Absolutely terrible. Every day for
lunch was ham, turkey or bologna sandwiches.
JM: Did you have any favorite/least favorite meals?
Chandra: Breakfast was always the best meal because it
was more edible. I'm very picky about what I
eat so I had a hard time with the food.
Occasional peanut butter and jelly sandwiches
were good.
JM: Were there any other snacks offered outside of meals? What was commissary like and how expensive was it?
Chandra: No. The only way to get snacks was to buy
them. You can only order commissary once a
week.
