Interview with Steve

JM: What types of facilities were available to help pass the time?
Steve: There was none.you had to occupie your own self to pass the time..they use to have a ged program but it was taken away i guess due to money for it..so it was all up to you to figure out a way to help pass the time each day to.no.

JM: Did you have regular access to the entertainment or was competition fierce? Give details.
Steve: No the only entertainment was the tv. You cud also play cards read play basketball or jus sit round and play checkers or chess.once a month they allow spevial entertainment to the dorm with the less write ups or problems for that month. But that was the only way to get it.

JM: Did you have a hard time staying in shape while in jail?
Steve: No cuz working out take your mind off alot and you can everyday in ur cell or the recreation yard.

JM: How often did you get to go outside? What did you do outside if you were allowed to? If you were not allowed to go outside what could you do for exercise?
Steve: You can go in the rec yard which was attached to the dorm..it wasnt outside but concrete buildin attatched to the pod we was in.

JM: Did the jail offer church services? If so, what were they like and when were they held?
Steve: Yes and they was okay..held on sundays.for a hour from local pastoys and the jail chapling from.sheriff department to came.
