Visitor Policy

Interview with Tom, Oscar, Ralph, Robert and Bert

JM: How often could you receive visitors?
Tom: weekends
Oscar: saturday & sunday
Ralph: I didn't have any visitors to receive as a foreigner without any friends or family.
Robert: N.a
Bert: once a week and they were 15 mins behind a glass on a phone that hardly ever worked

JM: Was the check-in process lengthy for those who came to see you?
Oscar: for some people it was
Ralph: I didn't have visitors.
Robert: ..
Bert: no they all got treated just like inmates pat downs and all . then it got a lil easier over time . they all said that was the worst part'

JM: What was the visiting environment like?
Oscar: it was clean to impress the visitors
Ralph: I didn't go there or see it.
Robert: ..
Bert: a big boxed in room with like 8-10 chairs and your family had to sit on one side of this plexie glass window on a phone and try to talk to you . very hard to hear them and most said it was crazy to see me behind glass like that
