JM: Did you always have access to necessary medications?
Krystal: Only if you bring your medications with you to jail
do you get necessary medication.
JM: How did you get your medications?
Krystal: The nurse made rounds twice a day in the morning and
in the evening. Unless you had to take medication
more than twice a day.
JM: What types of punishments were incurred for abuse of drugs? Did you ever witness this?
Krystal: People were put in a padded cell and had their
clothes removed. They would have to stay in there
for several hours. I witnessed it because I would
spend most of my time in a cell to myself due to
being ill and the padded cell was across from mine.
