Meals

Interview with Kate

JM: How many meals did you get per day?
Kate: 3 we received breakfast at 5am lunch around 11 am and dinner at 4

JM: How would you rate the food? Please give details of why.
Kate: absolutely horrible..11 most times you could not even distinguish what you were eating, breakfast was always cold cereal and I would usually only eat the bread or cake and let the other women have my tray, it was always cold and stinky, the portions wouldn't fill my 4 yr old daughter up

JM: Did you have any favorite/least favorite meals?
Kate: no I didn't, i didnt eat it honestly. it was all just slopped together and I just ate commissary to live

JM: Were there any other snacks offered outside of meals? What was commissary like and how expensive was it?
Kate: commissary is outrageous expensive and we were only allowed to spend $50 per week and that included any hygiene or stamped envelopes. I lived on honey buns chips and hard candy and ramen noodles. I would be starving by the time it got there
