Interview with Kate
JM: How often could you receive visitors?
Kate: 2 15minute visits per week but we had to sign up
for the times and hope that our families would
come at that time
JM: Was the check-in process lengthy for those who came to see you?
Kate: no it wasn't much of a hassle for them except the
timing thing, you had to prearrange it with your
family and also coordinate with the other women
JM: What was the visiting environment like?
Kate: we had a video screen in the unit with a phone
attatched and the same for our visitors in
another part of the jAIL.. everyone can see your
visitors and your family can see right into your
living area and the other women there. hard to
hear and visits always made me sad bcuz you just
want to go home with your loved ones
