Closing Advice

Interview with Jonathan and Mike

JM: What else would you want a friend or family member to know if they have a loved one going to this jail?
Jonathan: To try to get to the D.A.C., the Dedham Alternative Center. Either way though, sign up for as many programs as they can. 10 days a month is huge, and it also helps at a parole hearing.
Mike: Stay in touch with them letters are big in jail, its great to get mail and money for canteen is very helpful as well, but for my money letters and visits are best!

JM: If somebody knows they will be serving time in this jail what is your advice to them?
Jonathan: To sign up quick so that they can get into all the programs that they can. Not only will that break up the monotony some, but it can earn them 10 days off their sentence each month.
Mike: Its not bad as far as Mass county jails go, try to get to pre release or the drug block as you get the most good time and the most freedom. Be respectful and you should be fine.

JM: Please list any other jail or rehab facilities you have been to.
Jonathan: I was in Dartmouth{Bristol County) Plymouth County Bridgewater substance abuse center MASAC Brentwood, NH jail (Rockingham County, NH)
Mike: Middlesex, Essex, Suffolk and Norfolk count jails.
