Medications

Interview with Jonathan and Mike

JM: Did you always have access to necessary medications?
Jonathan: I am not on meds, but they do med calls every morning and night. many inmates are on meds.
Mike: If they are approved jail meds yes, no suboxone , opiates, adderall, or benzos.

JM: How did you get your medications?
Jonathan: I'm not really sure, but I believe they are brought in from someone on the outside, with the required prescription, and doctor's note.
Mike: Med car comes twice a day morning and night, if you are diabetic you go to the doctors unit a couple times a day.

JM: What types of punishments were incurred for abuse of drugs? Did you ever witness this?
Jonathan: Yes I did. Usually the person caught with drugs is taken to The hole or administrative segregation. Mail is checked thoroughly.
Mike: Yes, if you were caught using contraband or others meds you generally got a lock down or sent to the hole.
