Meals

Interview with Dave and Miss

JM: How many meals did you get per day?
Dave: Three.
Miss: Nothing, other than there was water faucet on the toilet .

JM: How would you rate the food? Please give details of why.
Dave: It wasn't bad. It was a lot of the same food I had at lunch in High School (Gordons Brand). I remember the inmates saying the jails around here have much worse food, so I guess I lucked out with being in this jail as far as the food goes.

JM: Did you have any favorite/least favorite meals?
Dave: Sometimes they had homemade goulash and mac and cheese. That was good. I don't even like goulash but theirs was good for some reason.

JM: Were there any other snacks offered outside of meals? What was commissary like and how expensive was it?
Dave: Only if you bought commissary. If there were diabetics in the room they would bring them two snacks a day. My bunkmate was a diabetic, and he didn't like fruit so he would give it to me.
