Sentencing

Interview with Pat and Sam

JM: How long was your sentencing for?
Pat: % years probation with special condition of treatment.
Sam: Sentencing was brief. It took all of 15-20 to go through the motions.

JM: Did you spend time in a holding cell after your sentencing? If so, what was that like? If you didn't where did they they take you instead?
Pat: After sentencing I spent some more time in the bullpen before the next trip and since I was housed in the county and had an immigration hold, I was transferred to the ICE pod.
Sam: After being sentenced, I was transferred back down to the holding cell. Then the waiting game began. You sit down there and wait for the transport van to "arrive", which means when they feel like bringing you back to the county jail. Sometimes they say they are waiting for more people to transport, but I've seen them sitting around and talking and laughing amongst themselves or eating or whatever until they are ready to transport whoever is there.
