JM: What clothes could you have brought in to wear in the jail (underwear, socks, etc.)? Ivan: A lot of the inmates bought their own personal
boxers as they didn't prefer briefs. Also, the
inmates were allowed to buy their own T-shirts and
sweatshirts, but they could only buy certain colors
such as red and green, but not blue. Bobby: Underwear socks and thermals you could have but you could
only have a certain number of each pair
JM: If you had a set uniform, what did it look like? Please be specific about each piece of clothing issued to you. Ivan: I had to where green pants, a green button up shirt,
with a white T-shirt underneath it. We also wore
sneakers similar to the old converse all stars. Bobby: You got. Two jump suits green color.
Well it was r a jump suit it was pants and a shirt with your
inmate number on the back
You could wear shirts & Long johns underneath but that was it
nothing else and the shirt had to be plan
JM: Were there any assigned clothes in high demand that an inmate should look for when getting clothing assigned? Ivan: I don't know what you are talking about. I don't
think there were. Bobby: No nothing was really in any type of high demand at all
JM: Was the clothing different between men and women? Ivan: We didn't have any women in the prisons we were in.
The last facility that I was in that had both men
and women was Onondaga county Correctional Facility
in Jamesville, NY, but I can hardly remember that
since I spent much more time in NYS prisons. Bobby: Nope it was the exact same
