JM: What types of facilities were available to help pass the time? Sam: a basket ball court. library, work out area (pull
ups and push up area really) I mean its a jail.
there isn't much to do. The outside area is very
small. only a 10 people could even fit out there
with out it becoming a health issue. It was what it
was.
JM: Did you have regular access to the entertainment or was competition fierce? Give details. Sam: I worked out every day. I played basketball a
few times.. I spent most of my time writing a
novel. The TV was always on and it was
porimarily frst come first chois=ce but i ended u
running the TV and when anyone wanted to change
the channel the asked me if it was cool...it just
turned out that way.
JM: Did you have a hard time staying in shape while in jail? Sam: no 400 push-ups a day does the body good. There
were ways to keep in shape and most found a way..it
also passes time. body and mind is important
JM: How often did you get to go outside? What did you do outside if you were allowed to? If you were not allowed to go outside what could you do for exercise? Sam: twice a day you were allowed to go outside. mostly
you just played basketball or read...not much else
to do. It was winter and no real reason to go out
much.
JM: Did the jail offer church services? If so, what were they like and when were they held? Sam: they did. i didnt attend but they held them. I
had no desire to going to the jail church so I cant
really answer that.
