Good Behavior

Interview with Tom and Abe

JM: Did you get off early based on good behavior?
Tom: No because at Wayne I was in a pre-sentencing situation.
Abe: Yes I was released early for good time that I accrued.

JM: What is the most time off you can receive for good behavior?
Tom: The way it works is there are different category of crimes. If you have flat bid violent or non- violent felony you have to do 85%. Wayne County does two for three. For every two days you get one off. For a non-violent misdemeanor or skip bid you do 65%.
Abe: 1/3 of your full sentence

JM: What types of actions do you need to avoid in order to get time off? Did you ever witness somebody losing time off for good behavior?
Tom: Only most serious of infractions: cutting, stabbing, drug possesion, extortian... basically anything would get you arrested in street.
Abe: You have to obey all rules, regulations and directions by jail staff. Fighting or contraband is not allowed and you can be punished in a variety of ways.
