JM: How often could you receive visitors? Dan: the different units had different visitor times and
days mine was Tuesday and Thursday and then Sunday Hugh: You could have visitors once a week
workers got two visits per week for
working Wendy: I didn't have any visitors my family waited in
the lobby until bond was complete.
JM: Was the check-in process lengthy for those who came to see you? Dan: yes they had to empty there pockets and then turn
around and get patted down and then walk threw a
metal detector just to get into see me Hugh: The check in process was not really
lengthy they checked in locked up their
stuff wents through a search and then
was allowed to visit Wendy: the process was very lengthy it took about 4
hours for me to leave as well as it being the
same for my family to wait to see me
JM: What was the visiting environment like? Dan: it was a small room and chairs on the outside walls
and then the inmates would come in after the parents
are sitting down and then the officer would stand by
the door and monitor all of the people in the room
and make sure no of us are doing what we are spouse
to be doing. Hugh: When people came to visit there would
be four windows with payphone like
phones and bullet proof glass seperating
you the visitors then the phones were
very hard to hear through and you would
have an hour for the visit afterwards you
would go back to your cell or recreation
area Wendy: I didn't have any visitors, I wouldn't know what
the visiting area would be like. I was only
lucky enuff to talk to one family member on
the phone, and the phone conversation was
only about 5 to 7 minutes long, the guard will
not let you talk for a little the time
