Interview with Jack
JM: Did you find it difficult to get along with other inmates? Please give examples to explain why you did or didn't.
Jack: I just sleot a lot. I didn't talk or engage wth anyone, no one
bothered me because they had no reason too.They seemed pre
ocpied with there own time spent there.
JM: What types of things did you have to do to avoid problems or fights with other inmates?
Jack: I slept a lot. Watched tv or read a lot. I stayed in my cell as
much as possible and didn't come out..except to eat. I had n
one to calpl so I didn't use the phone or write anyone. Also there
realky where not very inmates at that time.
JM: Were you able to choose an inmate as your cellmate if you knew one? How often would your cellmate(s) change?
Jack: They do not give you that privlage at that jail or any other one I
was previously in. The only exception I know is if the cell mate
was threating ir had contraband.
