Pre-sentencing

Interview with Jack

JM: Tell us about the pre-sentencing process:
Jack: I was held in booking and told I would see the judge the following morning. There where no futher details as I sat in jail over night, I was still intoxicated. I was booked and waited to see the judge. I was not giving any other info then that. This occured late.

JM: Did you have police stop by your house for questioning? If not please give us details on how you came to be arrested.
Jack: I was drniking and fighting with my sister. I decided to go get something to eat abd sober up. I was contacted by police outside of the save a lot. I did not feel intoxicated but was giving a breath alayzer. I was charged with public intoxication. This happened in 2008.

JM: What was court like? Please give as many details as you recall.
Jack: I was brought in hancuffed early in the morning to court. I was giving 7 days in jail. Because I had the same charge in another county, I was in municipal court with other peple traffic court ect. I was then escorted back to the jail. The judge encouraged me to get help.

JM: What were your original charges? What did you end up being convicted of?
Jack: Public intoxication which was the original charge
