JM: What types of facilities were available to help pass the time? Jack: Just television, books showering making calls I know they
offered work but I was not elgible. They also offered an outside
rec center. Most inmated played cards or watched tv. I did not
engage in any thing involving communicating with another
inmates. I slept and read books and occasionally watched tv.
JM: Did you have regular access to the entertainment or was competition fierce? Give details. Jack: Just television and the other things I mentioned the tiume was
limited to a few ours at a time. Also since there where very few
inmates there was no competitive issues. There was always
chairs out to watch tv or tables to play cards. It was very
limited. I didn't care.
JM: Did you have a hard time staying in shape while in jail? Jack: Yes the food was very high in carbs and no excersise
eqiutment. I probaly gained a few pounds. Maybe five pounds.
JM: How often did you get to go outside? What did you do outside if you were allowed to? If you were not allowed to go outside what could you do for exercise? Jack: I would walk around the block in circles or would go outside. I
believe they let us out a few times a day. I didn't even really
think about exercise.
JM: Did the jail offer church services? If so, what were they like and when were they held? Jack: I'm not religious I have no idea about what they offered. I don't
