Interview with Lisa, Bill, Ron, Cindi and Holly

JM: What clothes could you have brought in to wear in the jail (underwear, socks, etc.)?
Lisa: We were all dressed in a dark blue.
Bill: Jail issued clothes
Ron: Blues for general population, white undershirt, orange socks, sandals that look like a basket weave.
Cindi: You cannot wear your own clothes. However you could buy shoes or sock on commissary.
Holly: I wasn't allowed to bring in any clothing to the jail, everything is provided by the jail itself.

JM: If you had a set uniform, what did it look like? Please be specific about each piece of clothing issued to you.
Lisa: It looked like surgical scrubs.
Bill: Yes - white t-shirt/underwear with blue tie- pants and shirt, socks and slippers
Cindi: There was a white Tshirt, brown underwear, white sports bra, blue scrub top, blue scrub bottoms, orange tube socks and either orange or brown flip flops.
Holly: There was a set uniform and it was a white tshirt with pink sports bra and underwear, and navy blue pants and a smock like navy blue shirt that went over the white shirt. We were given orange socks and orange sandals to wear.

JM: Were there any assigned clothes in high demand that an inmate should look for when getting clothing assigned?
Lisa: Unknown
Bill: No
Cindi: We always tried to get good socks that didn't fall down.
Holly: No, not that I can recall. But people were picky about if their items were newer or not or the fit.

JM: Was the clothing different between men and women?
Lisa: I can't remember. I think the color of the uniform is indicative of the level of the prisoner--like trustees were orange.
Bill: No
Cindi: I believe men got boxer shorts and women got briefs.
Holly: No, the men also wore navy blue and white that looked like medical scrubs.
