Good Behavior
Interview with Harry and Arnold
JM: Did you get off early based on good behavior?
Harry: No. Unfortunately I was not eligible for good time, because I
was locked up on a probation violation. They do not offer good
time for probation violations.
Arnold: No because they do not offer "good time" for probation
violations.
JM: What is the most time off you can receive for good behavior?
Harry: For non probation violations I believe it is about ten days per
month.
Arnold: I believe it was ten days a month.
JM: What types of actions do you need to avoid in order to get time off? Did you ever witness somebody losing time off for good behavior?
Harry: Basically fighting is one. Not listening to the guards is another.
Possessing or using drugs, alcohol, weapons or anything else
that the jail considers contraband.
Arnold: I could not get good time because I was in jail on a probation
violation and you do not get good time for probation violations.
I did see people lose good time for fights and having
contraband.
