JM: How many meals did you get per day? Harry: We got three meals daily. Arnold: We were provided three meals a day.
JM: How would you rate the food? Please give details of why. Harry: I would have to rate the food a four on a scale of one is the
worst and ten is the best. The most negative thing about the
meals was the size of them. You would still be hungry right
after eating your meal. And I m not really a big guy, and I was
always hungry in there. Arnold: I would have to rate the food on a scale of from a one being
awful to a ten. I would have to then rate the meals we got
about a four. The portions were very small and as you can
imagine the food was not all that good to say the least.
JM: Did you have any favorite/least favorite meals? Harry: I guess I would have to say my most favorite meals were the
breakfasts meals. They were always the best. Dinner was the
least desirable. Arnold: I would have to say that my favorite and most of the other
inmates favorite meals would have had to have been the
breakfasts.
JM: Were there any other snacks offered outside of meals? What was commissary like and how expensive was it? Harry: There were no snacks offered. You could purchase food from
commissary, but the prices were terrible, but if you wanted to
not have to go hungry, you would have to pay the crazy prices
that they charged. Arnold: There were only ice in cups offered on extremely got days.
The commissary was okay, but I do have to say the prices
were outrageous. A ten cent soup in a store cost eighty-five
cents in jail.
