JM: Did you have regular access to telephones?
Harry: You would when you had block out time.
Arnold: Yes I did but only at allowed times.

JM: What types of charges applied for calling people? How much money would you guess the average inmate spends per week on phone calls?
Harry: I spent about $20.00 weekly because I was calling long distance. But the average person probably spent around $10.00 locally.
Arnold: Since I called long distance it cost me about $12.00 for a fifteen minute phone call. The average inmate that called locally would probably spend about $14.00.

JM: Did you need to buy phone cards to call out?
Harry: No we did not. It was all a prepaid system.
Arnold: No you had to prepaid account.

JM: Did the jail screen your calls?
Harry: It was posted by the telephones that they did.
Arnold: Yes the jail did say the calls were screened.
