JM: What types of facilities were available to help pass the time? Mark: cards, books, and they have some board games as
well.they also have a tv in the dayroom, one nice
thing they do is take a vote every week of movies
they would like to see,and they rent the movies
and will play two newer movies for the inmates
every week end,and you have rec on the roof once a
day and weights 2 times in the week for a hour
each time you go.
JM: Did you have regular access to the entertainment or was competition fierce? Give details. Mark: no,you can watch tv anytime you want, most of the
inmates will find movies that are going to be
airing during the day,and they will vote on whats
going to be watched, usually at night time
thou, during the day its pretty free to watch what
you like, most inmates will hang a little note on
the tv with what show youd like to watch and
usually no one has a problem with that.
JM: Did you have a hard time staying in shape while in jail? Mark: no,its up to you, there is roof rec daily and you
can jog,you can workout in your cell if you
like, and then twice a week they have the weight
room open to excersize in.
JM: How often did you get to go outside? What did you do outside if you were allowed to? If you were not allowed to go outside what could you do for exercise? Mark: you get to go outside once a day,it on the roof
and there are high walls,so you dont get to look
at anything but the shy,but you still get to have
some fresh air everyday.
JM: Did the jail offer church services? If so, what were they like and when were they held? Mark: yes, they have church,it was three times a week, you
could also put in for clergy calls and have a
visit if you liked.
