Interview with Mark

JM: Did you have regular access to telephones?
Mark: their are telephones in the day room that you can use while your not locked up in the cell.all collect calls or you can have someone put money in your account to make prepaid calls.

JM: What types of charges applied for calling people? How much money would you guess the average inmate spends per week on phone calls?
Mark: if your making a local call,its around $6.00 for a 15 minute call,long distance calls can be up to $15.00 for a 15 minute call.the phones are very expensive.

JM: Did you need to buy phone cards to call out?
Mark: you need to have money sent to the company,or you can use money in you account to place a prepaid can make a collect call as long as the person your calling has a phone bill under $70.00 dollars,if they owe more then it wont go thru.

JM: Did the jail screen your calls?
Mark: yes,they screen all calls you place
