Interview with Isaac

JM: How many different blocks were there?
Isaac: No blocks- we had pods. 6 Pods.

JM: Did they have names? If so, what were they?
Isaac: 3 east, 3 west, ladies pod, "the shoe", 4 east and 4 west

JM: Which types of inmates were housed in the different blocks?
Isaac: ladies had all the women, 3 east and west were minor crimes with short term sentences, 4th floor is for longer term and those who are on their way to some where else- maybe a state facility.. "the shoe" is the also known as the "hole"- for disciplinary reasons.

JM: What do you remember being the nicest and worst parts about the different blocks?
Isaac: I was in the shoe and 3 west. The shoe was dark and cold. only had a hospital gown on and a sheet. No interaction with anyone. The nicest was my own cell. I made myself "at home" and just dealt with it. there was nothing I oould do anyway.
