Interview with Virginia and Shaun

JM: How many different blocks were there?
Virginia: Maybe 5 or 6. Not sure.
Shaun: There were at least six

JM: Did they have names? If so, what were they?
Virginia: They were lettered, like a b or c block .
Shaun: One the new side letters, on the old side names

JM: Which types of inmates were housed in the different blocks?
Virginia: Well they were suppose to separate but they didnt.. they were all together. The sick the crazy the violent and the not so violent. It was the safest thing to do.
Shaun: violent and troublesome in new section. Traffic offences up to murderers are housed in the old section but these inmates have proven themselves over a period of time, thats all.

JM: What do you remember being the nicest and worst parts about the different blocks?
Virginia: Connecting with some of the women was ok. But you dont always get along with everyone so of course time were hard at times. Women argue alot and are territorial .. they get into relationships and that tends to cause most of the arguments in prison. But i stayed outa all that mess.
Shaun: There was very little nice to say about either part of the jail. The newer section for the more violent inmates was cell style blocks. Ironically this is the only section of the jail that has TV's in it. Aside from being open dorm style the old section is a dungeon.
