Good Behavior

Interview with Lou and Cindy

JM: Did you get off early based on good behavior?
Lou: I didn't have any of that available to me as an option.
Cindy: There wasn't any good time available, however if you worked then you got out twice as fast.

JM: What is the most time off you can receive for good behavior?
Lou: The only time they give you good behaviour is with traffic violations or Class B misdemeanors. That's when you can become a trustee. Those folks can work on time served and get off early. I don't recall the exact numbers though.
Cindy: If you're working, (which I guess can be considered "good time") then you get out twice as fast.

JM: What types of actions do you need to avoid in order to get time off? Did you ever witness somebody losing time off for good behavior?
Lou: Just like you would imagine. Stay out of trouble. They can always kick you off being a trustee and then you're back to square one.
Cindy: Just make sure you don't piss the guards off or do anything against the rules and you'll get to be an inmate worker and earn money towards your fines or bail twice as fast.
