Interview with Lou and Cindy

JM: How many different blocks were there?
Lou: Over at Colling County they have dorm settings and personal cells. Pods, basically. As far as I remember there were three pods.
Cindy: I was only in two different blocks, B and C. In cluster 3.

JM: Did they have names? If so, what were they?
Lou: They used letters.
Cindy: We were divided up into five different clusters, and each cluster had three different cell blocks.

JM: Which types of inmates were housed in the different blocks?
Lou: They would seperated the violent offenders from the non-violent. You aren't going to find someone in there on a DWI bunking with murderer.
Cindy: The lower the numbers of the clusters, the more dangerous were the criminals housed in them. At least, that's what it seemed like to me. We had murderers in 3C.

JM: What do you remember being the nicest and worst parts about the different blocks?
Lou: The nicest part I guess... let me see if I can think of a nice part... they do keep it clean. The worst part is the mattresses and the blankets are horrible. Thin and worn out.
Cindy: The guards were nice, 3B had this awful section called the SHU (Special Housing Unit) and in the morning times everyone was stuck in their cells while the people in the SHU got to come out and do whatever they wanted for one hour. That's the worst thing I ever noticed.
