JM: What else would you want a friend or family member to know if they have a loved one going to this jail? Charlie: Write often to them. They can also receive books,
periodicals and newspapers in the mail IF they
come directly from the publisher. Send them a
little money to put on their books if you can –
commissary day is a big day in jail and the little
luxuries are all-important. Jail is no picnic but
you can be sure that most of the jailers and staff
in Milam County are professionals, honestly care
for the well-being of the inmates and are diligent
in their jobs. As the guy said in Midnight
Express, “May it pass quickly.” Don: to be supported of that family member cause the jail
offers nothing like hygenes ect.. Pierce: Try your best not to stress out who ever is in
there with outside drama or dilemas. If you have
a girl friend or boy friend be true to that
person. One thing that turns a man or a womans
life upside down is when they are all alone and
have been betrayed in a sense.
JM: If somebody knows they will be serving time in this jail what is your advice to them? Charlie: Do what you are told to do when you are told to do
it by staff, don't try to bring in or have
contraband, don't fight, and never touch another
inmate's stuff. And you'll get along fine. Don: be respectful and mind your own business Pierce: Find God! Do the time don't let the time do you.
Take it one day at a time. Reflect on what
landing you in jail and don't point the finger
on who's fault it was. Own up to your mistakes
and accept whatever punishment you recieve. If
you do the crime then you have to do the time
JM: Please list any other jail or rehab facilities you have been to. Pierce: Copperas Cove City Jail and Coryelle County Jail
Killeen City Jail and Bell County Jail
Milam County Jail
Washington County Jail
Kerrville County Jail
