Visitor Policy

Interview with Shelia

JM: How often could you receive visitors?
Shelia: Twice a week I believe. No weekend visits and only at certain times on certain days.

JM: Was the check-in process lengthy for those who came to see you?
Shelia: They had to show up thirty minutes before the visitation in order to get checked in on time. I was always ready for my visits so my visitors never had to wait longer than thirty minutes.

JM: What was the visiting environment like?
Shelia: The visitor enviorment was depressing. You sat in front of a screen and sometimes it was hard to see your visitor. You dont get to touch them or really physically see them. If either of you is late it doesnt matter the visit starts and ends at a certain time not when you get there. Good thing is visitation room is small so you have a little privacy.
