Good Behavior
Interview with Dorothy
JM: Did you get off early based on good behavior?
Dorothy: No, even though I was a trustee I did not get any
good behavior because it was a state jail felony
and that is day for day no matter what. I think
that is not fair because if you had a regular
prison sentence or misdemeanor then you could get
off early. The only thing is that I was allowed
to stay at the county jail and not go to state
jail since I was a trustee.
JM: What is the most time off you can receive for good behavior?
Dorothy: If I would of had a different sentence then I
could have gotten two for one as a trustee.
JM: What types of actions do you need to avoid in order to get time off? Did you ever witness somebody losing time off for good behavior?
Dorothy: You have to follow the rules and not get into any
trouble. One time a male inmate got fired from
Trustee because he put a cigarette into his show
to take back to his cell, and that is a no no!!!
