Meals

Interview with Allan, Clayton and Gabi

JM: How many meals did you get per day?
Allan: Three.
Clayton: 3
Gabi: 3- 5 11 and 4 and nothing after that most people would cry because they were so hungry at night it was terrible

JM: How would you rate the food? Please give details of why.
Allan: Bad. No seasonings, bologna at least once a day, milk was not served daily, food was never warm. By law you are supposed to get 8 oz of milk every day. The green veggies were mostly chopped cabbage with nothing on it.
Clayton: Terrible. If you are only in for a short stay you wont be able to buy anything from the commissary so dont bother bringing in the cash for it.
Gabi: the food was horrible, bland and all starches, they say they give you meat its all processed, thats why most of them gain so much weight in there

JM: Did you have any favorite/least favorite meals?
Allan: On Christmas we got a piece of pie and fights broke out.
Clayton: They were all disgusting
Gabi: nope they were all horrible all starches, bland, and the same old stuff everyweek

JM: Were there any other snacks offered outside of meals? What was commissary like and how expensive was it?
Allan: No, unless you bought them off commissary. Ramen noodles cost 75cents . They charge each inmate $3 per day to stay in the jail. After 2- 3 years the debt goes away. If anyone sends you money and you owe money to the daily rate, they will take the money.
Clayton: No
Gabi: hell no
