Visitor Policy

Interview with Randy

JM: How often could you receive visitors?
Randy: For me and my unit, visitation was every Saturday from 10:00am until 12:00pm. Visitors could bring you food, as long as it was prepackaged.

JM: Was the check-in process lengthy for those who came to see you?
Randy: Visitors had to be patted down, walk through a metal detector, and then the food they brought would be searched for any contraband. The process took about 15 minutes.

JM: What was the visiting environment like?
Randy: Visitation was quite a big room full of tables and chairs. Your visitor had to sit on the other side of the table as you, but the tables were about 2 feet wide, so you were not too far from your visitor. There were Correctional Officers in the room and security camera to monitor any suspicious or illegal behavior.
