Sentencing

Interview with Tom, Jessica, Justin D., Pat and Sandi

JM: How long was your sentencing for?
Tom: 6 monthson work release , in custody from 10 at nite till 7 in the morning
Jessica: 100 Days Maricopa County Jail, 5 yrs probation
Justin D.: 60 days on work release
Justin: it took 2 months until i was sentenced and 6 months in jail
Pat: 2 months in jail then probation
Sandi: I was not sentenced but was confined for four months waiting for a trial or a dismissal.

JM: Did you spend time in a holding cell after your sentencing? If so, what was that like? If you didn't where did they they take you instead?
Tom: no was released and had a self surender time and date. when i went to surrender at the documented time and place the sheriffs office began with the games saying wrong place go downtown went there and sent back then was hasseled because it was later than ordered
Jessica: Depressing
Justin D.: No
Justin: yes it was cold. dirty, they packed us in like sardines.. soemtimes no sitting room and we would have to stand for an hour or two waiting for transport to come
Pat: I was placed in a holding cell until the bus came to pick us uo it was a few hours it was a crowded cell with everyone dressed in strips
Sandi: I was not sentenced but was frequently in holding cells while being transported for court or for medical. They are cold cells. Sometimes very stuffy if they are crammed with people.
